Get to know a little more about the people who make Sonora special.

Our Teachers & Staff Favorite Things list is a fun way for Sonora families to learn a little more about the teachers and staff who spend their days teaching, supporting, encouraging, and caring for our kids.

Inside, you’ll find things like favorite snacks and drinks, restaurants and gift cards, favorite colors, classroom wish-list items, birthdays, hobbies, and a few PTA-noted little extras.

And while it’s called a “Favorite Things” list, this is not a list of things families are expected to buy. There is absolutely no obligation to give gifts. We simply love the idea of helping our community get to know the people behind the classrooms a little better.

Sometimes the information is useful in small, fun ways. Maybe your child has a spirit day and wants to wear their teacher’s favorite color. Maybe you’re looking for a classroom book or supply that would actually be useful. Maybe you run into a staff member at one of their favorite neighborhood restaurants and discover you have something in common. That’s part of what we love about being a small neighborhood school. 💛

And yes, there may also be times when a family wants to do a little something extra, whether it’s for a birthday, a thank-you, or Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week in May. If so, their list is here to help take out some of the guesswork.

Mostly, though, we hope you’ll use it for exactly what it is: a fun little window into the wonderful people who make up our Sonora community.
